In the wake of the Steve Stephens murder video and other viral video posts showing suicides and the beating of a disabled man, should Facebook be punished or penalized for not filtering this sort of content?

Prescott Valley, AZ Correspondent-Facebook should be penalized in some way for not filtering this sort of content, which has been going on for entirely too long. Ever since Facebook Live was launched almost a year ago, predators, degenerates, sociopaths and other criminals of varying persuasions have been enabled in their pursuits to publicize and live stream their crimes. Shootings, rapes, torture, suicides and other related situations have been provided by witnesses that have posted to Facebook but Steve Stephens preparing to commit murder and uploading the act itself was out of bounds and something that Facebook was not directly prepared to take down. Are schools teaching kids the skills they need to succeed?

Sheffield, Jamaica Correspondent-That’s actually a good question. I’d like to think that I didn’t turn out bad, but I wouldn’t attribute my accomplishments to the skills I acquired at school.

Success is viewed differently, depending on the individuals involved. Success, for me at least, is not dependent on the height of my bank account, the clothes I wear, nor the assets I’ve procured; not at all. Continue reading

The mayor and city council of New Orleans have called for the removal of various Civil War era monuments in the city. Should this have been allowed to happen, and should the citizens of New Orleans have had a voice in the decision?

From our Prescott Valley, AZ Correspondent

This kind of critical circumventing of history concerning New Orleans and other cities should have never been allowed to happen, and the citizens of New Orleans and other places were certainly not all for it. The mayor and city council members of New Orleans and other liberals throughout the country have wrought their liberal leanings and have literally turned a city upside down historically on their own without consideration of the city as a whole. Climate Change vs. Global Warming. What’s the Difference?

From our Owatonna, MN Correspondent

For years, scientists decried our use of fossil fuels over the past century as being a chief cause (sometimes the only cause) of Global Warming (GW). As the debate intensified, critics lambasted scientists for trying to scare the world into drastic measures. Carbon taxes, reducing power usage by unrealistic amounts, and fighting the effects of GW with trillions of dollars in taxes, were some of the suggestions that raised significant opposition from skeptics. Supporting your Local Farmers Markets

From Our Gastonia, NC Correspondent

Spring is in full swing around the country, and that means farmer’s markets are reopening for the season, stocked with all the freshest produce and locally made products your locality has to offer. If you think of a farmer’s market as a couple of weatherbeaten farmers presiding over bins of tomatoes, corn and squash, it’s time to get out of the grocery store and get “back to the farm.” Continue reading

Should women who knowingly falsely accuse men of rape or sexual assault face charges? Should there be a statute of limitations on filing a rape charge?

Prescott Valley, AZ Correspondent-Depending on a thorough and complete investigation of rape charges where the accused rape perpetrator is completely exonerated, women who knowingly accuse men of false rape or sexual assault should face charges. Just as with any other violent crime, if an accused person is proven innocent, the accuser should have to face the consequences. Continue reading

Should the federal government run health care clinics and hospitals for anyone receiving government sponsored healthcare (Medicare, Medicaid, Obamacare)? Young doctors out of med school could be offered employment and reduction in student loans for working in the government run facilities. Will this help reform healthcare in America?

Sheffield, Jamaica Correspondent-I’m not trying to reveal the pessimist that I am, but irrespective of who or what control the healthcare facilities of the day, we will still get sick and die. I need sickness gone permanently!

Now that’s out of the way, for the sake of fostering a peaceful debate and accommodate the many opinions out there, I think governmental benefits, especially sponsored healthcare, should be administered or operated by the Federal Government. Continue reading

Bill Gates recently called for a tax on robots that take jobs from humans. Does this proposal have merit?

Owatonna, MN Correspondent– Taxing robots certainly has merit for the government, which relies on taxing humans to feed its spending addiction.

It’s presumed a corporation that employs robots will be responsible for paying the robot tax. How will that be assessed if robots don’t receive compensation similar to what human employees receive? Should it be based on the robots’ productivity? And how should those tax dollars be spent? It makes the most sense to spend robot taxes on displaced workers who can’t find jobs because of automation. However, anyone who believes that government will faithfully dedicate all collected robot taxes to helping displaced workers, there is still plenty of swampland for sale in Florida. Continue reading
