In the wake of the Steve Stephens murder video and other viral video posts showing suicides and the beating of a disabled man, should Facebook be punished or penalized for not filtering this sort of content?

Prescott Valley, AZ Correspondent-Facebook should be penalized in some way for not filtering this sort of content, which has been going on for entirely too long. Ever since Facebook Live was launched almost a year ago, predators, degenerates, sociopaths and other criminals of varying persuasions have been enabled in their pursuits to publicize and live stream their crimes. Shootings, rapes, torture, suicides and other related situations have been provided by witnesses that have posted to Facebook but Steve Stephens preparing to commit murder and uploading the act itself was out of bounds and something that Facebook was not directly prepared to take down. The mayor and city council of New Orleans have called for the removal of various Civil War era monuments in the city. Should this have been allowed to happen, and should the citizens of New Orleans have had a voice in the decision?

From our Prescott Valley, AZ Correspondent

This kind of critical circumventing of history concerning New Orleans and other cities should have never been allowed to happen, and the citizens of New Orleans and other places were certainly not all for it. The mayor and city council members of New Orleans and other liberals throughout the country have wrought their liberal leanings and have literally turned a city upside down historically on their own without consideration of the city as a whole. Should women who knowingly falsely accuse men of rape or sexual assault face charges? Should there be a statute of limitations on filing a rape charge?

Prescott Valley, AZ Correspondent-Depending on a thorough and complete investigation of rape charges where the accused rape perpetrator is completely exonerated, women who knowingly accuse men of false rape or sexual assault should face charges. Just as with any other violent crime, if an accused person is proven innocent, the accuser should have to face the consequences. Continue reading

Bill Gates recently called for a tax on robots that take jobs from humans. Does this proposal have merit?

Owatonna, MN Correspondent– Taxing robots certainly has merit for the government, which relies on taxing humans to feed its spending addiction.

It’s presumed a corporation that employs robots will be responsible for paying the robot tax. How will that be assessed if robots don’t receive compensation similar to what human employees receive? Should it be based on the robots’ productivity? And how should those tax dollars be spent? It makes the most sense to spend robot taxes on displaced workers who can’t find jobs because of automation. However, anyone who believes that government will faithfully dedicate all collected robot taxes to helping displaced workers, there is still plenty of swampland for sale in Florida. Continue reading

Can society ever lose its fear, distrust and apprehension about immigrants from different races, religions or ethnic groups?

Prescott Valley, AZ Correspondent-The only way that society will lose its fear, distrust and apprehension about immigrants from different races, religions or ethnic groups is when immigration laws for both legal and illegal immigrants are fully enforced and legal immigration is reduced to manageable numbers. Should women be given combat roles in the military and allowed to fight alongside men on the front lines?

Owatonna, MN Correspondent– Aside from Joan of Arc, Xena the Warrior Princess, and a handful of comic book and movie heroine warriors, females fighting on the front lines in a war was never considered until the rise of the modern feminist movement started in the 1970s. Women have gradually earned the right to join the military and expand their roles, but the debate about whether to allow them on the front lines hasn’t been resolved. Continue reading

Should minors be allowed to get tattoos (if they have parental permission)?

Owatonna, MN Correspondent-Tattoos are often considered “the poor man’s art.” They also express someone’s personality, albeit in an unusual way. I am in favor of anyone being allowed to show their artistic side and to do what they choose to their body as long as it doesn’t harm anyone else physically or financially (among other reasons). So, I am in favor of anyone willfully getting a tattoo—except for minors, even those with parental permission. Continue reading

Many people oppose torture and they are upset that America might be reinstituting the practice as it was previously banned by the Obama administration. Should torture be put to use again by intelligence agencies?

Sheffield, Jamaica Correspondent-We all want to prevent mass destruction, terrorism, nuclear attacks, and whatever America fears. Preventing the aforementioned means having Intelligence at the right time. But how is this ‘Intelligence’ gathered? I’d say in more ways than one. Of late, America seemingly might be reincorporating or reinstituting the practice of torture. Continue reading
