Some of what matters doesn’t arrive as an opinion. It arrives as a document nobody read closely, a public record nobody put together, or a question nobody followed to the end. This section is for that work. Our commentary tells you what our correspondents think. Our research shows you what we found, where we found it, and how far it goes.
Everything here is held to one standard: we say what the evidence supports, we say what it does not, and we show our sources so you can check us.
Found Documents. Primary records, published in full with what we know about where they came from.
Dossiers. The public record on a single subject, gathered in one place and in order.
Investigations. Questions followed until the evidence runs out, with findings, limits, and responses.
