It’s a train wreck. They’ve had control of both houses of the Congress and they’ve done nothing but push their radical agenda down the throats of the American taxpayer, increase our national debt, waste trillions of dollars on failed economic stimulus programmes, and make everyone lose confidence in the United States.
About the only good thing that has happened is the temporary extension of the Bush tax cuts for two years. Unfortunately, a temporary extension only creates more uncertainty for businesses, investors, and taxpayers.
The Administration has failed to create jobs despite the promises of the economic stimulus programmes—programmes that we here at Thinking Outside the Boxe criticized and questioned efficacy. We’re trillions more in debt with nothing to show for it. The Administration has only wanted to blame former President Bush for the mess we’re in and has never once accepted their own responsibility. The buck stops with President Obama but only when something good happens. When something bad happens, it is always someone else’s fault. I for one am tired of hearing this Administration and the Congressional leaders in the Democratic party blame all our woes on President Bush and the Republicans. This Administration and the Congress need to take a good look in the mirror to see what an abject failure they have been. They have no one to blame but themselves. The Democrats have had the White House and both houses of the Congress the last two years and they’ve done nothing but make things worse.
