In a presidential election year, we put the same questions about the candidates to every correspondent. Each answers individually, in their own voice, and those answers are published as given. The correspondents then reach a collective decision by consensus, and that decision is Thinking Outside the Boxe’s endorsement.
The endorsement belongs to them. No donor, party, or campaign has a say in it, and no correspondent is told how to decide. Where a correspondent disagrees with the result, that disagreement stands in their published answers. An endorsement tells you where a group of ordinary working people from both parties came down after arguing it out. It is not a campaign contribution, and Thinking Outside the Boxe does not lobby for the candidate it endorses.
