Thinking Outside the Boxe Endorses Donald Trump for President in 2016

Myrtle Beach, SC, Orlando, FL, July 19, 2016—Thinking Outside the Boxe issued the following statement today in support of Donald Trump for President of the United States in 2016.

Thinking Outside the Boxe is pleased to announce that after intense review of the candidates we have decided to endorse Donald Trump for President of the United States in the 2016 election.  Mr. Trump’s business experience and outside perspective are desperately needed in the isolated world of Washington, D.C. where business principles are lacking and where thinking contrary to the wisdom inside the beltway is void.  We need someone to stand up for America and the American people, and we believe Mr. Trump has shown his desire to do just that.  We need someone is isn’t afraid to tackle the tough issues of immigration, out-of-control spending, over-regulation, tax reform, and terrorism.  We need someone who is more concerned with finding solutions than with political correctness and political gain.  We need someone who is going to shake up Washington yet who can work with both parties to forge bipartisan compromises and offer bold solutions to the challenges threatening our long-term economic stability and national security.  We believe Mr. Trump is the person to do this.

America is at a crossroad.  We can continue down the path we’ve been on the last seven years—the path towards socialism and economic stagnation.  We can be more like Europe and less like the America our Founding Fathers envisioned, or we can return to the path of economic strength, less federal government, and more personal liberties.  The American people are unhappy with the path we’ve been on the last seven years with upwards of 70% believing America is on the wrong track.  The Democrats will continue to take us down the path towards socialism.  To be fair, we’ve been disillusioned with the Republican party the last seven years as a result of their inability to reign in the liberal agenda of the Administration.  However, we believe Mr. Trump will unite the Republican party and will put us back on the path of towards economic vibrancy, military strength, and strong national security.

This decision was not an easy one for us to make.  Our tendency is to lean more Libertarian, and we very much admire Gary Johnson and his efforts within the Libertarian Party.  We would like nothing more than to see a strong Libertarian Party with seats in both houses of the Congress, and a strong enough message, presence, and grass roots base to elect a Libertarian president.  Despite his platform and all the positives that Governor Johnson brings to this election, he is not going to be elected President of the United States.  If anything, he will only divert votes from the major parties and mainly from the Republican party.  Too much is at stake in this election to support a candidate with no viable path to the White House, and support of the Libertarian candidate in this election would only help ensure a victory for the Democrats and their liberal agenda.  We simply cannot afford to gamble with America’s future and risk handing the election to a candidate who will take us further towards socialism.

To be sure, no one candidate can accomplish everything and solve every problem. The next president will face many challenges which will require a great deal of negotiation between the parties and effective communication with the American people.  The next president needs to be a strong leader who isn’t afraid to make tough decisions that put America’s interests and security first.  We are confident Mr. Trump can actually get things done in Washington.

We are proud to support Donald Trump for President and look forward to a spirited campaign in the coming months.
